Dental implants are the gold standard for replacing missing teeth. They provide a permanent solution that restores both function and aesthetics. Unlike traditional dentures, dental implants are securely anchored into the jawbone, offering increased stability and comfort. Traditional dental implants are a robust solution suitable for various dental needs, particularly for those with a healthy jawbone or after a bone graft. Dental implants offer a convenient option for immediate tooth replacement, reducing the number of visits required and maintaining oral health through immediate restoration of function and aesthetics. Whether you need to replace a single tooth or require a full mouth reconstruction, dental implants can help you regain your smile and improve your oral health.

Dental Implant Procedure
The dental implant procedure at our practice in Las Vegas involves several stages to ensure the best possible outcome:
- Consultation and Planning: During your initial visit, we will evaluate your oral health, take X-rays, and discuss your treatment options. A personalized treatment plan will be created for you.
- Implant Placement: The dental implant is surgically placed into the jawbone. Over the next few months, the implant will fuse with the bone through a process called osseointegration.
- Abutment Placement: Once the implant has integrated with the bone, an abutment is attached to the implant. This serves as a connector between the implant and the replacement tooth.
- Crown Placement: A custom-made crown is attached to the abutment, completing the restoration and providing a natural-looking, functional tooth.

Dental Implants vs. Dental Bridges
Patients in Las Vegas often compare dental implants and dental bridges. While both are effective for replacing missing teeth, dental implants offer several advantages:
Dental Implants
Provide a permanent solution without affecting adjacent teeth. They also help preserve jawbone density.
Dental Bridges
Typically require adjacent teeth to be filed down for support. They do not stimulate the jawbone, which can lead to bone loss over time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who Can Get Dental Implants?
Most people who are healthy enough to undertake restorative procedures such as filling or root canal therapy are eligible for dental implants. A patient must have healthy teeth and gums, and in case of any cavities or periodontal disease, they must be addressed first. In addition, there should be sufficient bone mass tissue to provide support for an implant. On the other hand, if you have incurred bone loss, which is pretty common after tooth loss, a bone grafting procedure can be carried out to help rebuild the tissues.
Will it hurt to install my dental implant?
The treatments itself is virtually painless. You may however experience some light discomfort for few days after your treatment. After approximately a week your implant should not feel uncomfortable.
What do I have to do following the procedure?
You will be provided with a set of instructions specific to your treatment. Please follow them closely to ensure the risk of complications is reduced. A brief list of things you can expect includes: getting rest, managing swelling, cleaning your mouth, restricting your diet, keeping an eye on the affected area to make sure nothing out of the ordinary is occurring.
Will my insurance cover the cost of the procedure?
The majority of insurance companies cover most of our treatments. For more detail on your coverage please call your service provider.
